Getting Started Raising Money

8th April 2009

Day one of my fundraising for Tanzania, I began to plan out how I could make £3,655 in eighteen months.
The main methods that I will use are;
> Organising Events
> Bag Packing
> Working for friends and family (e.g. gardening, car washing)
> Helping within the community
> Sponsorship
These are the main tactics I plan to use but there are others I could try. At the moment however I am searching for a job to make the fundraising easier.

When I get back from the Easter Holidays I will be working within a group of people, all working towards the money for Tanzania. In this group we will be using relations to give us a benefit on organising events for the community, these could be; cake stalls, discos, car washes, bag packing and lots more!

So far I have been “under attack” from my parents with them going on about ideas 24/7 and its only day one! I’m hoping that soon enough all this will stop thoughJ

Anyway tomorrow I go and help my mums friend shovelling gravel all over there garden which will hopefully bring me a small amount of money.

This is the end to my first day of fundraising for the trip of a lifetime and still the only thing that spurs me on is the thought of changing peoples lives in Tanzania that are worse off than us.
