General Knowledge Quiz

Hi again,

I recently released a fund raising general knowledge quiz with fifty questions on it, which is up for sale at £1 a copy, the winner receive £25. If there is a tie then the winner will be drawn out of a hat. The closing date is the end of August. Also last week on Thursday we held a cake stall in the school hall, with lots of really good cakes that were a hit. We sold out literally as soon as we had opened. Although the total amount was a lot less than expected. We only made £78 which I think worked out at about £11 each. But I’m not complaining because its £11 less we don’t have to raise ourselves!

We had another one of those fundraising meetings at lunchtime again last week, and we have now set up a fundraising committee and there could be some events to help the new year sevens settle in when school starts again in September. Also in the meeting we had a quiz to get a general understanding about what it is actually like in Tanzania, and our group won!

The business cards haven’t been as big as I expected so far. I think we have had one job offered – but neither Andy nor I could do it! So hopefully they will start to pick up from here and be a bit more of a hit.
